Still Ground Therapy is founded for those who look fine on the outside but have been quietly running on overdrive for a long time.

STILL GROUND THERAPY
Still Ground — quiet depth, honest care.
Online psychodynamic psychotherapy for neurodivergent, high-performing, and sensitive adults.

Still Ground is an online space where the pace slows down, and the work goes deeper. Sessions are a depth-oriented form of psychodynamic psychotherapy offered online. They’re primarily conversation-led, and when it's helpful, we use simple digital image creation—always as optional support. Instead of traditional studio materials, we work with accessible digital tools alongside talking. The images become another way of noticing patterns, inner stories, and nervous-system responses, especially when words aren’t enough.

Art-making is always optional. Some clients prefer to work entirely through talk; others find that simple visuals help express what feels hard to name. You don’t need to be “good at art,” and no design or creative background is required—the focus is on meaning and what the process reveals, not on producing anything polished.
About

Quiet Depth, Honest Care
I’m Stephanie Tan — a psychodynamic psychotherapist trained in psychodynamic art psychotherapy (MA, AThR), a neurodivergent person, and a long-time creative designer. I spent over a decade in fast-paced, high-performing creative roles while quietly navigating dyslexia, ADHD, and sensory processing disorder. So I understand what it’s like to look “fine” on the outside while feeling overworked, overstimulated, or emotionally maxed out on the inside.

I founded Still Ground because of something I needed for a long time before I found it — the kind of inner stillness that only becomes possible when you finally have somewhere safe enough to slow down. Not the forced calm of "just relax." Real ground. The kind that holds you steady while you look honestly at what's been running underneath. This space exists because I believe that kind of ground should be available to others who have been quietly running on overdrive for far too long.

My work now centres on high-performing, sensitive, and neurodivergent adults whose nervous systems have been working hard for a long time. In our sessions, we work primarily through conversation-led psychodynamic psychotherapy, in a calm online, low-clutter space. When it feels helpful, we can also bring in simple digital image-making as an optional support—especially when words don’t quite reach what you’re carrying. The pace is collaborative, steady, and shaped around what feels sustainable for you.
In the first session, I already felt a strong connection with her. I felt comfortable talking to her, and she was very friendly. I didn’t have a good experience with my previous therapist, but with Stephanie, I could feel that she listens attentively and is very understanding of my discomforts, which I truly appreciate.

Throughout our sessions, I also discovered different ways of creating art, which I enjoyed. Stephanie analysed my emotions through my artwork and helped me understand how I was feeling, making me realise things I hadn’t noticed before.
I learned so much, including how to establish healthy boundaries, which was my biggest challenge as I struggled to say no to things I didn’t want to do. Stephanie explained the importance of boundaries in a way that resonated with me. She always used reassuring words that helped me feel better about myself, which was something I had needed to hear my whole life. I am incredibly grateful to have met someone who is so passionate about their work and who has guided me through some of my darkest times. I can never thank her enough!
